If ballet shoes could talk...

Updated: Nov 2

I recently was inspired to paint ballet shoes. While I painted the detail of the delicate shoes , two words echoed in my heart - purpose and destiny.

Isaiah 52:7 How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him who brings good news, who proclaims peace, who brings glad tidings, who proclaim salvation…

Feet of purpose, destiny and dreams. We all have dreams and many of us wonder if we are here for a higher purpose or reason. Everybody wants to feel needed and wanted, loved and accepted.

God wanted a family, that is why we are here, we are designed to be His children, to be like Him on this earth. I am His daughter - that is my true identity. The job I do, to be a mother is not my identity it is just what I do. My original true identity is: I am a King’s daughter. From this relationship comes an overflow that reveals my purpose and destiny. It always has to start with my relationship with God. If knowing God to you is just a religion or the church you go to, you will never understand this. Everything in your life will always start with yourself, focusing on your own effort and you will never discover who you really are as a child of God.

If you don’t know who you are, the devil very eagerly present you with a false identity that you will think is yours but it will never bring you peace. And God has so much more for you!

Pray the Word of God

May God give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him :The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints. And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power. (Ephesians 1: 17-19)

When I saw the photo I used to paint this beautiful ballet dancer, I immediately saw someone breaking free from bondage! What an amazing feeling to be set free after years of struggling with fear and sorrow!
